AI Adoption Consulting for AEC Firms

With 18 years of experience in the AEC industry, I help companies cut through the AI hype and find the tools that actually fit how they work.

Who I Work With

If you run or lead an architecture, engineering, or construction firm and you keep hearing about AI, but you're not sure which tools are real, which are hype, and where to start without wasting money finding out.
Your team is probably doing things manually that AI could handle in a fraction of the time. You just don't have the internal expertise to know exactly where, or the bandwidth to figure it out through trial and error.
That's where I come in.

Architecture & Engineering Firms
1 to 50 people. Your principal wears multiple hats and production efficiency directly impacts profitability. You need someone who understands your workflows from the inside, not a generic tech consultant.
General Contractors & Specialty Contractors
$10M to $150M in revenue. You're competing against larger firms with more technology resources and feeling the pressure. RFI management, field reporting, estimating research, and coordination documentation are eating your team's time.
Owner's Reps & Construction Managers
Small teams managing complex projects. Every hour matters and there's no slack to absorb inefficiency. You need AI workflows that fit how your team actually operates on real projects.

Three Ways to Work Together

AI Readiness Assessment: $2,000
Not sure where AI fits in your firm?
This is your starting point.
In a focused 2-hour working session I map your current workflows, identify where your team is losing billable hours to tasks AI can handle, and separate the tools worth your time from the ones that aren't. Within 5 business days you receive a written findings report with a prioritized list of AI opportunities specific to your firm, recommended tools for each, and a clear implementation sequence.
You walk away knowing exactly where to start, whether we work together beyond this or not.AI Workflow Implementation: $6,000 to $15,000
Ready to build? This is where we install AI into your operation.
Over 30 to 60 days I design, build, and implement the specific AI workflows your firm needs. Prompt libraries, automation sequences, tool integrations, and documentation templates. Your team is trained on everything we build so adoption actually sticks. Deliverables include live working workflows, written documentation your staff can reference independently, and a 30-day check-in call after we close.Scope sets the price. A single-workflow engagement, one team, one core process, runs $6,000 to $8,000 over 30 to 45 days. A multi-workflow or firm-wide engagement, multiple teams or processes, runs $10,000 to $15,000 over 45 to 60 days. We'll define which one fits your firm during the Readiness Assessment or our first call.Team AI Workshop: $3,500 remote, $5,000 on-site
Want your whole team moving faster? This gets them there in half a day.
A hands-on working session for up to 10 people where your team actually uses AI tools during the session rather than watching a slide deck. Content is customized to your firm type and specific work: design production, project documentation, estimating, coordination, field reporting, or client communication. Includes a written reference guide with prompts and tool recommendations your team keeps after the session.On-site sessions include travel expenses, billed separately based on distance.

Why Work With Me

I've spent 18 years in the AEC industry, with the last 13 leading Virtual Design and Construction at one of the top general contractors in the Midwest. That means I understand what actually happens to your documents, models, and workflows in the field. I'm not a tech generalist who learned about construction from the outside. I've lived inside these workflows at scale.
I founded Applied AI Tools to bring that perspective to firms that feel the competitive pressure of AI adoption but don't have the internal resources to figure it out alone. My clients get recommendations built around how their specific firm operates.
In 2026 I was selected as a speaker at Autodesk University, presenting on practical AI adoption strategy for AEC leaders navigating organizational resistance and tool overload. It's the same work I do with clients every day.
If you're tired of reading about AI and ready to actually use it, let's talk.

Book A Call

In 30 minutes I'll review one specific workflow challenge your firm is dealing with and give you at least one concrete AI tool or technique you can act on immediately. No pitch, no strings attached.
If it's useful and you want to go deeper, we can talk about what that looks like. If not, you still walk away with something actionable.
